Yep, that’s the real number.

That’s how much money I invested in trying to scale my business in 2023.

I have a proven service; I’ve coached over 700 entrepreneurs to beat their self-sabotage ways.

But I had a false belief… To be successful, I had to become great at social media.

The problem, I genuinely hate using social media.

Not because it’s bad, but because it’s a landmine for solopreneurs like you and me to get hijacked by cheap dopamine, comparison traps, and the sheer exhaustion that comes from feeling like you’re invisible.

But I had the resources I believed I needed to really make this thing work, so I did what I thought all successful solopreneurs do that make it big - I went all in on social media.

Hired a team. I had a videographer, an editor, a content manager, and an automation expert!

With all of these people, how in the hell could I possibly fail?

I’ve since learned it doesn’t matter how much money you have or the quality of the team you hire; if you’re trying to build your business in the wrong way, it’ll never work.

I don’t mean that social media was the wrong way for everyone; what I mean is it was the wrong way for me.

And given my experience of coaching over 700 solopreneurs through their mindset challenges, I can confidently say that social media is the wrong way for many of you, too.

Not because it doesn’t work. It does.

But it doesn’t work for most of us because we don’t actually want to be content creators or influencers.

We just want to build real businesses, doing work we love with people we love, without chasing algorithms or the latest trends.

How I bounced back from my $119,000 loss?

Using the one strategy that has served me from the very beginning - strategic partnerships.
